Reactive printing and dyeing is that under certain conditions, the active gene of the dye is combined with the fiber molecule, the dye penetrates into the fabric, and the chemical reaction between the dye and the fabric makes the dye and the fiber form a whole; paint printing and dyeing is the physical combination of the dye and the fabric through a binder. printing method.

The difference between reactive printing and dyeing and coating printing and dyeing is that reactive printing and dyeing has a smooth and soft hand. Generally speaking, reactive printing and dyeing fabrics look like mercerized cotton, and the printing and dyeing effect is very good from both positive and negative aspects. It looks a bit like an ink painting effect.

1. Characteristics of paint printing and dyeing

The process is simple and the cost is low. Poor color fastness, washed once and used once; poor environmental protection performance, higher formaldehyde content than reactive printing and dyeing; sticky printed parts, which appear hard without softener added. If softener is added, the formaldehyde content is higher.

2. Characteristics of reactive printing and dyeing

Good air permeability, excellent fastness and soft hand feel, but there are also problems such as cumbersome printing process, long process and difficult processing. Generally, reactive printing and dyeing can ensure that environmental protection is harmless to people, and the color and fabric feel are also good, and there will be no feeling of hard and soft.

3. Identification method

Color recognition: The color of paint printing is not bright, and the color is dim, giving people a feeling that the color is floating on the cloth. It's like putting a coat of paint on the wall.

Look at the gloss: The paint printed fabrics have undergone the "calendering" process before leaving the factory, so everyone sees that the cloth has a shiny feeling, which may be paint printing. This kind of finish obtained by calendering is one-time. After washing will disappear.

Smell: Pigment printing adds a lot of adhesive, and it is directly shaped without washing, so there will be a strong smell in the finished fabric.

Hand feel: Pigment printing has a hard hand feel. In order to cover this shortcoming, the fabric maker added a softener when setting the shape, and the finished product will feel softer after "calendering", and most of it will fall off after washing.
