How to deal with the fading of wool fabric
1. Shrinkage and fading of wool fabric
Reason: the moisture content of dry cleaning solvent is too high, especially when washing wool, cashmere, Angora cotton wool and other clothes.
Prevention and solution:
(1) In the process of removing stains, avoid adding excessive water.
(2) Use high quality dry cleaning aids to keep moisture in the dry cleaning oil instead of the fabric.
(3) If possible or conditions permit, wet clothes should be dried in advance to remove natural moisture.
(4) If possible, clean the wool fabric together.
2. Shrinkage or brittleness of chemical fiber fabrics
Cause: PVC contains reinforcing agent, or polypropylene in fabric is dissolved and denatured in solvent.
resolvent:
(1) Do not dry clean PVC or clothing containing polypropylene fiber.
(2) Special attention should be paid to the clothing marked "mixed fiber" on the clothing label, which may contain polypropylene.
(3) Polypropylene should be detected before dry cleaning (polypropylene fiber will float on the water).
(4) Once shrinkage occurs, brittleness cannot be restored.
(5) After dry cleaning, the shrunken fabric can be stretched and set by hot steam with a wool fabric setter.
3. Shrinkage of curtain fabric
Cause: relaxation retraction. Because fabrics such as curtains are under tension when they are made, dry cleaning will make them shrink back to the original size.
resolvent:
(1) Remind the customer that retraction may occur.
(2) It can be restored to its original size by means of stretching.
4. Acrylic or modified acrylic, ester fiber clothing shrinkage
Cause: the drying temperature is too high.
Solution: during the drying process, ensure that the outlet air temperature does not exceed:
(1) 50 ℃ acrylic ester.
(2) Acrylate was modified at 40 ℃.
