What is unidirectional wet fabric?

Two conditions are required for unidirectional wettability:

1. The inner layer of the fabric has a good capillary effect;

2. The outer layer of the fabric has a good diffusion effect on water.

One-way wetting function of fabrics

The unidirectional moisture-conducting function of the fabric is developed on the basis of moisture-conducting and quick-drying, which means that moisture and heat are quickly transferred from the inner layer of the fabric (skin contact layer) to the outer layer of the fabric (air contact layer) and evaporate and dry quickly. , The heat does not stay in the inner layer. This type of fabric does not stick to the skin and is very comfortable to wear, making it the first choice for sports fabrics.

The difference between moisture-conducting and quick-drying fabrics and unidirectional moisture-conducting fabrics

Moisture-conducting and quick-drying fabrics achieve the purpose of quick-drying by increasing the evaporation area and allowing sweat to quickly diffuse on the fabric.

The unidirectional wetting is faster than the fabric due to the difference in the hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity of the inner and outer fabrics, that is, the outer layer of the fabric is hydrophilic and the inner layer is mostly hydrophobic, and sweat is transmitted from a small part of the inner layer to the hydrophilic outer layer of the fabric. , and evaporates rapidly in the outer layer.

The mostly hydrophobic inner layer keeps the body from wearing it when sweating, and the outer layer of the fabric quickly evaporates and removes a lot of heat, which in turn makes the body feel cooler.

The unidirectional wet quick-drying fabric is a fabric that automatically responds (automatically drains the sweat to the outer layer of the fabric) with changes in the external environment (the human body produces sweat), so it belongs to a smart fabric.

The unidirectional wet-conducting fabric generally adopts a composite double-layer structure, and the inner layer structure is responsible for rapidly conducting moisture or sweat from the body surface to the outer layer of the fabric, keeping the skin contact surface dry and comfortable. The outer layer structure needs to volatilize the exported moisture or sweat as soon as possible, while ensuring that the exported moisture or sweat will not re-enter the inner layer of the fabric to achieve a unidirectional moisture conduction effect.
