Nylon6 and Nylon66:

The price of nylon 66 is more expensive than that of nylon 6, and the hand feel is softer than nylon 6. It can be made of du superfine fiber and high-grade clothing fabric. Now the good quality down fabrics on the dao market use nylon 66, which is smooth and light. It is soft and has anti-feathering effect. But it is difficult to dye, not easy to color, high temperature dyeing is required, and the color fastness is not very good. Nylon 66 and nylon 6 are both polyamide fibers. Nylon 66 is made by polycondensation of hexamethylene diamine adipate; while nylon 6 is made by polycondensation of caprolactam. From the molecular structure point of view, the two fibers are very similar, so the physical and chemical properties of the two are basically similar. The difference is that the hydrogen bonds between adjacent molecules of nylon 66 are more firmly bonded, so its melting point is as high as 260 ℃, which is about 40 ℃ higher than nylon 6, and its heat resistance is superior. Both have good weaving and sewing properties, but nylon 66 has a higher melting point, better heat resistance, and better elastic modulus. It is more suitable for manufacturing heat-resistant strain products, such as tire cord and heat-resistant water washing. Fabrics and woven fabrics. But this is all distinguished from subtle aspects. In fact, the difference between the two in clothing textiles is not big. The main difference in use is in industrial applications, especially in the use of cord, nylon 66 is even better.
