What is the difference between 190Tpongee and 190T polyester?
1. The difference between fabrics:
1. Pongee is a pongee fabric, and the rainproof cloth can also be called "coated nylon spun. It is the same.
2. Polyester is one of the pongee fabrics.
Second, the difference in feel:
1. The pongee cloth surface is flat and smooth, the texture is light, firm and wear-resistant, with good elasticity and gloss, no shrinkage, easy to wash, quick-drying, and good hand feeling.
2. Polyester has a relatively rough texture and poor elasticity.
Three, thickness difference:
190Tpongee is thicker than 190T polyester, with higher density and heavier weight.
Extended information:
Features of polyester:
1. High toughness. The short fiber strength is 2.6~5.7cN/dtex, and the high tenacity fiber is 5.6~8.0cN/dtex. Due to its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength and dry strength are basically the same. The impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose fiber.
2. Good flexibility. The elasticity is close to that of wool, and it can almost completely recover when it stretches 5% to 6%. The wrinkle resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric is not wrinkled and has good dimensional stability. The modulus of elasticity is 22~141cN/dtex, which is 2~3 times higher than nylon. .Polyester fabric has high strength and elastic recovery ability, so it is durable, anti-wrinkle and non-ironing.
3. Heat-resistant polyester is made by melt spinning, and the formed fiber can be heated and melted again, which is a thermoplastic fiber. The melting point of polyester is relatively high, and the specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity are small, so the heat resistance and thermal insulation of polyester fiber are higher. It is the best among synthetic fibers.
4. Good thermoplasticity and poor melting resistance. Because polyester has a smooth surface and tightly arranged internal molecules, polyester is the most heat-resistant fabric among synthetic fabrics. It is thermoplastic and can be made into pleated skirts with long-lasting pleats. At the same time, polyester fabrics have poor melting resistance and are prone to forming holes in the presence of soot and sparks. Therefore, try to avoid contact with cigarette butts, sparks, etc. when wearing.
5. Good wear resistance. The abrasion resistance is second only to nylon, which is the best in abrasion resistance, and is better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.
6. Good light resistance. Lightfastness is second only to acrylic fiber. The light fastness of polyester fabric is better, except that it is worse than acrylic fiber, its light fastness is better than natural fiber fabric. Especially the light fastness behind the glass is very good, almost on par with acrylic fiber.
7. Corrosion resistance. It is resistant to bleaching agents, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. It is resistant to dilute alkali, not afraid of mildew, but hot alkali can make it decompose. There is also strong resistance to acids and alkalis, and UV resistance
8. The dyeability is poor, but the color fastness is good and the color is not easy to fade. Because there is no specific dyeing group on the molecular chain of polyester, and the polarity is small, dyeing is more difficult, the dyeability is poor, and the dye molecules are not easy to enter the fiber.
9. Poor hygroscopicity, sultry feeling when wearing, and easy to be charged with static electricity and dirt, which affects appearance and comfort. However, it is very easy to dry after washing, and the wet strength hardly drops, does not deform, and has good wash and wear properties.
Characteristics of Pongee:
1. Semi-elastic pongee, advantages: It can be used as accessories for many garments, such as suits and suits, to play the role of lining. Moreover, it can be diversified in dyeing and finishing, and can be adjusted according to the popularity of clothing.
Process flow: use polyester FDY60D/24F as raw material, weft thread adopts DTY100D/36F; warp and weft density is 386*280 roots/10cm, commonly known as 170T
2. Full elastic pongee, advantages: it can be listed as a functional fabric, and can be used for raincloths, umbrellas, down jackets, sunshades, etc. There are many specifications and varieties. It is the most popular pongee fabric.
Process flow: The warp and weft of the fabric are all interwoven with polyester DTY75D/72F (network silk), and the fabric is woven with a flat (1/2 twill, 1/3 twill) texture. Among them, the two specifications, 240T and 300T, have the best sales.
3. Matte pongee, advantages: Strictly speaking, matte pongee is also a series of full elastic pongee. Mainly used for children's clothing, jackets, etc. It is popular in the North and South markets, and the demand is large.
Process: The warp and weft of the fabric are made of polyester matting DTY75D/72F or 50D/72F (network silk). One of the fabric specifications is 300T and is woven with a plain weave double change texture. The width is generally 160cm.
