The machines used in the warp knitting appear to be somewhat like looms, all of which are wound to the warp axis, the rear and top of the braid, and all the yarns are fed into the braided area. Each yarn is controlled by a single pin during the socket. However, the guide-yarn comb controls the position of the yarn, and the needles used in each lap may change. The jacquard mechanism can be used to control the needle to produce complex warp knitted fabrics. It is sometimes referred to as warp knitting machines, in view of the process used by the warp knitting, the position of the feeding device and the overlap between the parallel yarns.

Fundamentally speaking, warp knitting is a processing system for producing flat-amplitude fabrics. The fabric has straight side edges, high production speed and large output. Woven fabrics can be classified according to the characteristics of the equipment and fabric used, the main types of which are: Tlico, Lachelle, Milanis and Simplex, the most common being Tlicoto and Raschel.

The warp knitted fabric has certain elongation and tensile property, although its value is lower than that of weft knitting. The factors affecting the tensile properties of fabrics are: fabric structure (such as single comb, double comb warp knitted fabric, Raschel warp knitting); the tightness of the fabric (the tighter the fabric, the lower the tensile properties); Finishing process (can give the fabric good dimensional stability), machine number (that is, the number of stitches within the unit width), type of yarn (such as elastic core yarn, small elastic or poor fancy line, with better dimensional stability of the single yarn or strands).

The method of increasing warp knitted fabric strength is: Using high strength fiber yarn, using yarn with balanced structure, adopting higher machine number and fine high strength yarn. In addition, the strength of the fabric can be affected by the use of the strands of different fiber yarns and the change of the spacing of the coils.
